Powerful explosion in Lebanon! Declared a state of emergency! Food crisis begins.

A week-long state of emergency has been declared in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, following a powerful explosion on Tuesday.

A cabinet meeting on Wednesday declared a state of emergency. The cabinet meeting has given the responsibility of security of the capital to the army. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a food depot near the port of Beirut.

It is said that there is no food stock for the country for a month after the blast.
The blast killed at least 100 people and injured more than 4,000 others.
According to a statement issued by the Information Minister on Wednesday, 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate was stored in the warehouse.
It is estimated that the fire broke out in the warehouse after the incident.
