Rabindra Dhungel, 27 september 2020. Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets in the Indian Premier League IPL Cricket. In last night’s match, Kolkata completed the target of 143 runs given by Hyderabad by losing only 3 wickets in 18 overs. Shubhaman Gill remained unbeaten in Kolkata’s victory and played a half-century innings of 70 runs. Ian Morgan scored an unbeaten 42 runs.

When Nitis Rana added 26 runs, captain Dinesh Karthik and Sunil Narine returned to the pavilion without opening an account. Khalil Ahmed, Rashid Khan and T Natarajan of Hyderabad took 1 and 1 wickets respectively. Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Hyderabad lost 4 wickets in 20 overs and scored 142 runs.
Manish Pandey played a half century innings of 51 runs for Hyderabad. He struck three fours and two sixes in 38 balls. Captain David Warner added 36 runs while Johnny Baystro was dismissed for five runs. Riddhiman Shah scored 30 runs and Mohammad Nabi scored 11 unbeaten runs.
Kolkata’s Pat Cummins, Bharun Chakraborty and Andre Russell took 1-1. With the win, Kolkata has added 2 points in 2 games. In the first match, Kolkata lost to Mumbai Indians by 49 runs.
This is the second consecutive defeat of Hyderabad. In the first match, Hyderabad lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore by 10 runs while Kolkata lost to Mumbai Indians by 49 runs.
